We had a wonderful time celebrating a special occasion, with the staff providing exceptional service. However, while the food and dining experience were fantastic, we found issues with our room and overall service that detracted from our stay. The hotel has great potential but needs improvements in some areas to truly shine.

Our room was a bit dated and could use some paint, with some chipped paint and a curtain that was partially hanging off. It was comfortable enough but didn't meet the standards I expected.

My stay at Taplow House was a mixture of highs and lows. The location is lovely, with beautiful gardens, and the package included enjoyable meals. However, the service was notably lacking, especially during breakfast, and the condition of the rooms left much to be desired. For the price I paid, I expected more in terms of comfort and maintenance.
Rooms

The room was a reasonable size and comfortable, but the bathroom amenities were lacking and the overall condition felt shabby.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent; while the restaurant staff were accommodating, the bar service was noticeably poor and disorganized.
Location

The hotel is set in a quiet area, just off the M4 and near attractions like Windsor and Eton, providing a peaceful escape while being close to local sights.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was challenging, with breakfast service taking an unusually long time and food coming out cold with limited options.
Facilities

Facilities were average, with a nice terrace for coffee but overall basic offerings that need improvement.

While the rooms were spacious and had a lot of character, they could use a bit of updating. The dining experience was impressive, with outstanding food quality, though some service aspects left a little to be desired. Despite a couple of hiccups, it was definitely a value-for-money experience.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, which was perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful countryside. The dining experience was exceptional, with gourmet meals that truly delighted my palate. My only regret was the inconsistency in room quality among friends in the same price range. Overall, the value for money with the inclusive package was outstanding, but I wish my room had more space like my friends' did.

Unfortunately, my room felt cramped compared to my friends' more spacious accommodations. It had all the essentials but lacked the charm of a larger room.
